Tijuana, Mexico – A Mexican tourist has been accused of conspiring to traffic in counterfeit Viagra and other drugs.
Tijuana is home to the largest collection of illegal medications in the United States. The Mexican government has yet to issue a warning against such shipments, but officials in the city of Tijuana said they are “safe and legal in operation”.
Tijuana authorities said the shipments are being used to “purchase and sell” counterfeit pharmaceuticals, which are sold online in cities like Los Cabos, Monterrey, Tijuana, and Nuevo León.
According to a report from the Los Cabos Police, the counterfeit drugs included “generic Viagra, some generic Viagra and some generic drugs.”
The drugs were seized from a pharmacy in Tijuana, where they were purchased by the two men.
